Britney Spears was a no-show for her scheduled deposition this morning due to an apparent illness, Access Hollywood has learned.
The pop star was scheduled to face-off with Kevin Federline’s attorneys under oath on Wednesday morning, as the couple’s custody battle continues.
However, Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Access that Britney did not appear for the scheduled 10 AM meeting, claiming illness as her reason for not appearing.
Britney’s house was reportedly besieged by paparazzi and other media on Wednesday.
Kaplan said he’ll be speaking with Kevin to see how Spears’ ex-husband would like to proceed.
Kevin’s attorneys were expected to grill Britney on her abilities as a mother, as well as her problems with drug and alcohol abuse and her failures in following court orders.
Access Hollywood has reached out to Britney’s attorney and is awaiting a response.
