According to MTV Asia Hitlist Britney has the most no.1 singles in Asia with 19 no.1 singles! The Asian Hitlist is made in accordance to charting songs in the countdown. Several songs may have been given consideration due to its extreme reception in the Asian market. Britney Spears is the only artist to top the chart with singles from all of her studio albums, as well as new releases from her 'Greatest Hits' album and the no.1 album 'Blackout'. 'Gimme more' is currently at no.1 on the Asian hitlist. Asians cant get enough of Britney Spears and are always ready for MORE.

Big drop in France, and slow start in Japan for Blackout.

It was finally the sales results for Japan and it's not as much as we hoped: Britney has sold only for its 1è week Operating 26,041 copies of Blackout.It is certainly more than Celine Dion, but less than the Backstreet Boys, and therefore # 4 of the Japanese charts. With Japanese imports, sales have gathered 33597 copies.

********* n France, such as Germany and the United Kingdom, big fall: Blackout moves from the 13th to the 27th position for the 3rd week of sale.

For the United States, we will have the sales results tomorrow, but after HDD, Blackout is currently 19th with 39,333 copies sold at 70% discount, The album thus loses more than 10 seats. In the end, we wait in the 50000 albums sold last week.

Eagles V. Britney: Who Deserved No. 1?

Last time we checked in with readers, you responded to the following question: Now counting sales from Wal-Mart, the Eagles beat Britney Spears for No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Do you think Billboard should include titles sold only through one retailer in the album chart tally?

19,097 people voted and here are the results:

80%: No. The old method was tried and true, so it shouldn't include sales from acts like the Eagles who sold their album only through Wal-Mart stores. Britney, therefore, should have been No. 1 this week.


4%: Maybe. Billboard should have waited until more artists made exclusive deals with individual retailers to change the chart methodology.

16%: Yes. The music world is always evolving and Billboard should include sales numbers no matter where or how the albums were sold. If the Eagles sold more albums than Britney Spears, then the Eagles deserve No. 1, period.

Britney's European Fans Make Her #1

BRITNEY SPEARS has triumphed over the EAGLES in the European albums chart - the pop superstar's BLACKOUT disc is at number one.

The Eagles' first album in 28 years, Long Road Out Of Eden, beat Blackout to the top of both the U.K. and U.S. charts, but comes in as runner-up in Europe.

At three is Eros Ramazzotti's E2, while troubled singer Amy Winehouse's Back To Black to at four.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is enjoying a second week atop the European singles chart with Don't Stop The Music, holding off Spears' Gimme More at number two.

Plain White T's drop a place to three with Hey There Delilah.

Piece Of Me On Radio Nov.26

This week, Britney Spears bat again with a record Blackout, album that received good reviews, entering # 1 in sales in Europe and # 1 Sales digital in United States, making it the largest selling artist by a female artist in terms of sales in a week.

And watch for her new single "Piece of Me" by radio on Nov. 26. Blackout takes the onslaught of charts around the world making Spears' the only woman to have 5 albums consecutive in the Top 2 "according to Billboard magazine.

Britney has sold more albums than other female artists digitally in the first week of marketing and Blackout is still # 1 in sales since its release Itunes.

The album is also entered the international charts: Blackout entered # 1 in Europe as well as Canada and Ireland, # 2 in the UK, France and Japan, in the Top 10 in Switzerland, Korea, Greece, Austria, Italy, Denmark, New Zealand, Germany and Belgium.
