OK! Exclusive: No End To Britney Custody Battle In Sight

While many had expected that today's hearing in the ongoing custody war between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline would be a day with at least a handful of final, definitive rulings handed down from the court, the legal eagle for wannabe rapper K-Fed tells OK! that, in actuality, things are far from over.

"It's not like in a civil trial where an order will be handed down to resolve the case," Mark Vincent Kaplan explained to OK! after Monday's hearing. "In family court, a case can go on as long as the children are minors."

Well, considering the oldest of the two boys is barely 26 months old, that could mean almost two more decades of courtroom showdowns. Does Kaplan see any hope for a resolution in the near future? "I have to say that much will be resolved at the April hearing when we expect the evaluation will be done," he tells OK!. "You can't expect to go to a full hearing if one set of evaluations is not complete."

As of now, the lawyers aren't set to duke it out until after the New Year. But as we've seen, that can change in the blink of an eye — or a stop light.

'Piece Of Me' Video To Be Shot Today!

The second video from Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ has to come later than expected after the production was halted. The video’s producer was involved in an accident and therefore the shooting schedule was changed from November 16 to thanksgiving days (November 22-25).

“They rescheduled it for next week,” said a statement issued last weekend. “It’s strictly the production company’s fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time.” The shooting is for her second single ‘Piece of Me’ that is confirmed by Sony/BMG to be officially released on January 11, 2008.

A source has spilled the concept of the video to World Entertainment News Network saying, “Location scouts are still trying to find a club in Los Angeles for the shoot. The video is very hush-hush, but I understand it will feature scenes of Britney trying to escape the clutches of the paparazzi.”

A cover for the single which will be released to radio outlets on Tuesday, November 27, has been leaked earlier this month.

According to the magazine, earlier this month Britney stopped by the restaurant for lunch and "instantly fell for Michael Marchand", an actor employed by the restaurant as a waiter. Since then, the mag reports that "they're always texting each other" - and that they've had at least one date at Britney's mansion!

Although L&S doesn't pin down the date of their first meeting, X17 was there when the Queen B stopped by Mirabelle after some chandelier shopping on November 6th. Might that have been the night they met?

At the appointment, Britney, 26, asked a doctor there to improve her nose and enlarge her breasts, says an insider, but the doctor immediately declined.

The reason: “She’s a high-risk patient,” the insider explains. “He didn’t want to clear her for surgery because he didn’t think he could trust what she’d put on her medical history.” In the end, the doctor referred Britney to another specialist who plumped Britney’s lips with collagen, then sent the singer on her way, telling her to take more time to consider the other procedures. “It was a stall tactic,” the insider says. “They just wanted her out of the office.”

Britney's lip enhancement isn’t her only recent cosmetic procedure. As Life & Style reported, she traveled to Las Vegas on Nov. 9 to have LipoDissolve treatments, which involve breaking up fat around the buttocks and thighs with injections. In addition, “Britney’s already consulted with at least three surgeons about new breast implants, a nose job, liposuction on her chin and Botox for her face,” says a friend. “She sees no reason to stop.” Indeed, “she constantly talks about getting work done,” the friend notes.

Britney Spears Runs Over Yet Another Photographer's Foot

The singer, 25, allegedly ran over a photographer's foot while leaving the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills Wednesday.

The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when Spears and pal Sam Lutfi pulled up to the valet and photographers began surrounding her Mercedes SL65. Spears then pulled into the back entrance. She was still there as of 10:20 p.m.

Another emergency custody hearing in her battle with ex Kevin Federline is set for Friday.
